- A pristine 1985 Nissan 300ZX surfaced showing just 67,000 miles.
- Its white paint and black trim still look factory-fresh decades later.
- Powered by a 3.0-liter V6 engine paired with a five-speed manual.
Finding an original Nissan 300ZX that hasn’t been used and abused isn’t easy, but we’ve just found one. Quietly shared on Facebook rather than through a major auction or used car site, this 1985 300ZX appears remarkably well preserved. It may not be the lowest-mileage survivor in existence, yet its condition speaks for itself.

Nissan produced the 300ZX across two generations between 1983 and 2000. As a 1985 model, this example belongs to the first generation and comes with removable roof panels, a hallmark feature that helped define its character in the mid-eighties.

The current seller notes it was originally purchased new from Northside Nissan in Charleston, South Carolina, before eventually joining his personal collection and later being owned by his wife.
According to the listing, the odometer shows 67,000 miles, but you could easily be fooled into thinking it has far fewer. The white paint still looks clean and consistent, while the black trim around the bumpers remains in notably good shape.
The original pinstripes continue to run down the sides, and it still rides on the factory wheels, which give it that unmistakable stock look enthusiasts value.

During the first-gen model’s production run, Nissan offered the 300ZX with five engine options. This car has been equipped with the naturally-aspirated 3.0-liter V6, although it’s unclear if it has the 165 hp or 190 hp version of this engine.
Regardless, we know the V6 is mated to the much more desirable five-speed manual transmission that funnels power to the rear wheels.
A Cabin That Turns Heads

});
The person who originally configured the car clearly wanted a cabin that stood out from the relatively plain white paint finish. As such, virtually every single piece of the cabin is finished in red, including the floor mats, seats, door panels, steering wheel, dashboard, and transmission tunnel. It’s so bright you’d need a set of sunglasses to drive this thing even on a rainy day.

Included with the sale is the original window sticker showing a list price of $18,599, which covered a $200 destination and handling charge. Adjusted for inflation, that figure comes to roughly $57,260 today. For comparison, the current Nissan Z starts at $42,970 before destination and climbs to $65,750 for the NISMO version.
The seller hasn’t mentioned an asking price, but if you’d like to get in touch, head over to the original post on Facebook for more information.
