The seller parted ways with the C8 Corvette just a month after winning it in a Rotary Club of Tucson raffle

The market for low-mileage C8 Chevrolet Corvettes continues to soften. That’s not ideal if you’re trying to sell one, but it’s very good news if you’re on the hunt for a bargain.

Earlier this week, a clean 2025 Corvette Stingray with just 1,480 miles sold for $58,500 on Cars & Bids, even though the MSRP for a 2025 model starts at $69,995.

This Stingray is interesting because it’s rare to see a stripped-back version with so few options. As a 1LT model, it lacks some of the luxuries of the 2LT and 3LT trim levels, meaning there are no heated and ventilated memory seats, a head-up display, or the C8’s available 14-speaker Bose audio system.

Additionally, it lacks the popular Z51 performance package that includes beefed-up brakes, a new exhaust, tweaked aero parts, and more aggressive suspension.

It’s the most basic Corvette Stingray you can get, but importantly, it provides all of the same driving thrills as a far more expensive version with every conceivable option. For a purist, a simple Stingray 1LT like this could be perfect.

From Raffle to Resale

The mid-engine was sold through Cars & Bids after the Rotary Club of Tucson acquired it in late 2024. Last month, it was given away in a raffle, and the seller was the lucky winner. So in this case, they made a clean $58,500 profit, and the buyer got an excellent deal.

When you consider the performance offered up by the C8 Corvette, even in entry-level Stingray guise, picking up one for less than $60,000 is an absolute steal.

Hard as it might be to believe for some enthusiasts, there are buyers in the US spending similar money on the new Honda Prelude, no thanks to inflated dealer markups. Granted, it’s a brand-new model and has the fresh-hype factor working in its favor, but even so.

The Stingray doesn’t just pack 2.5 times the power of the Prelude, it also gets to 60 mph (96 km/h) about 2.5 times faster, hitting the mark in 2.9 seconds versus the Prelude’s estimated 8 seconds, or 7.2 if you’re using every trick in the book.
