GAC launches in Australia with aggressive pricing, long warranty

Chinese brand GAC has announced pricing for its first three models for Australia, and confirmed it’ll offer an unlimited-kilometre warranty.

GAC Australia officially announced the pricing and warranty information for all three at its Australian market launch in Sydney, which was attended by Wayne Wey, president of GAC International.

With customer order books opening today, November 18, and sales commencing across its 12-dealer strong network, GAC becomes the newest brand among a flooded Australian new-car market.

From launch, three new models will spearhead its Aussie arrival, with the petrol-powered Emzoom SUV – a Kia Seltos and Mazda CX-30 rival – expected to be the biggest seller of the launch trio.

It’s also the the cheapest of the three at $25,590 before on-road costs.

A second SUV, the electric Aion V, is priced at $42,590 before on-roads, significantly less than the top-selling Tesla Model Y ($58,990 before on-roads) and also undercutting the likes of the Leapmotor C10 ($45,888).
