Drive Against Depression (DAD), an Australian-registered mental health charity, will end its 2025 event calendar with the Brisbane Summer Drive Day on Sunday, December 7.
The event will see attendees start at Sunshine Ford at Southport on the Gold Coast, and finish at the Wynnum Ambulance Museum on Brisbane’s southside.
A member of the Queensland Ambulance Service will explain how mental health calls are handled, and there’ll be a tour of the organisation’s automotive collection plus a lunch.
The drive has been organised by the Drive Against Depression team and Ford Australia, so it’s expected to be an entertaining route. Attendees will use the handy Tourboss app so they don’t get lost.

There’ll also be a raffle, with the prize being a dashcam donated by sponsor Uniden, while an expert from therapy provider Talked will also be, well, talking.
You can register for the event here. All cars are welcome, provided they’re road-registered.
“This time of year brings a mix of feelings and experiences – from excitement and anticipation to worry and sadness, and plenty more in between,” says the Drive Against Depression team.

“Whatever the end-of-year season means for you, we encourage you to take the time you need to look after your mental wellness.
“If that means getting together with a welcoming community for a day of great roads and a fun drive, we’d love to see you in Brisbane.”
Drive Against Depression holds regular motoring events and continues to build a network of mental health practitioners to support the community, offering a non-judgemental opportunity for people to connect with others and feel comfortable about sharing their mental wellness journey.

This will be Drive Against Depression’s 10th and final event for 2025, and its second this year to be held in Queensland.
Various members of the CarExpert team are proud long-time supporters of Drive Against Depression and its events. James Wong (Marketplace Editor) is a current charity ambassador, and founder Paul Maric is a former ambassador.
