2026 JAC T9 prices: Chinese ute dives further into HiLux territory with new variants

China’s latest entrant in the Australian ute market is getting more variants, aimed at tradies and salary packaging buyers.

After announcing an expansion of the JAC T9 dual-cab 4×4 ute range last month, the Chinese auto brand has now confirmed pricing for the new entry-level Oasis dual-cab/chassis variant plus the posher Osprey and Osprey X dual-cab pickup grades, which are arriving in showrooms now.

JAC Motors Australia has yet to confirm pricing for the Tradepro dual-cab/chassis, which is set to offer an even lower price point than the new Oasis dual-cab/chassis that rings up at $41,162 before on-road costs. This price excludes the factory alloy tray.

While the Oasis dual-cab/chassis offers 1165kg of payload capacity, the Osprey and Osprey X – priced at $46,629 and $47,079 before on-roads, respectively – slide under the 1000kg mark to make them eligible for novated leasing and salary packaging.

The new up-spec utes have a payload just shy of 1000kg, at 980kg.

In addition to Haven’s standard equipment, the Osprey adds a power sunroof, a relative rarity in this segment. In short, therefore, you’re paying an extra $999 for a sunroof and a 65kg reduction in payload.

Like the Haven, there are also heated and power-adjustable front seats and rear privacy glass, and a surround-view camera.
