2026 GAC Emzoom price and specs

The GAC Emzoom is one of three debut models for the incoming Chinese brand, and orders are now open.

It’s priced at $25,590 before on-road costs for its sole Luxury trim level, and is backed by a seven-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.

The Emzoom is sized similarly to the MG ZS small SUV, measuring 4410mm long and 1850mm wide on a 2650mm wheelbase. The ZS, in contrast, is 4430mm long, 1818mm wide and has a 2610mm wheelbase.

The ZS range currently opens at $25,888 drive-away for the base ZS Vibe, which can’t match the level of standard kit in the Emzoom, and has a naturally aspirated instead of turbocharged engine.

Chery’s range-topping, turbocharged Tiggo 4 Ultimate, however, undercuts it at $26,990 drive-away; this is the same price as the base GWM Haval Jolion Premium, which is also being offered with a further $3000 discount until the end of the year.

While the ZS, Tiggo 4 and Haval Jolion can all be had with hybrid power, the Emzoom lacks electrification and is offered solely with a petrol powertrain.

This petrol engine is also only compliant with Euro 5 emissions standards, which means it’s slipping in before tougher Euro 6d standards come into effect locally in December 2025 and apply to all new vehicle launches. Come 2028, however, it will need to meet the new standards.
